How estimated impact is calculated
How estimated impact is calculated: what the up to +X points on each action means and how to read it when you prioritize.
What "up to +X pts" means
Every recommendation shows an estimated impact, like up to +3 pts AI visibility or up to +2 pts SEO. It is our best estimate of how much your score could rise if you complete that action.
Read it as a ceiling, not a promise: the number is the most you would gain, and the real result depends on how thoroughly you act on it.
Why the number changes
The impact is calculated from your current scores, so it moves with your progress:
- The further you are from a healthy score on the signal an action improves, the higher its impact.
- As you close the gap the number shrinks, and once that signal is already in good shape the action drops off the list entirely.
That is why the same action can be worth more on one project than another, or worth less after you have already improved.
AI vs SEO points
- AI visibility points estimate the lift to your AI Visibility score.
- SEO points estimate the lift to your SEO health score.
- Some actions help both, and show both.
About the total at the top
The summary at the top of the Actions view counts each area once. Several actions can improve the same thing (for example, a few different ways to get mentioned more often), and each one's number is already the ceiling for that area, so we don't add them on top of each other, which would overstate the total.
Use impact to decide what to do first: sort by it and start with the high-impact, low-effort wins. The Actions view puts every recommendation in one prioritized list.
