Real questions, real assistants

A scan runs a set of realistic prompts against the leading AI assistants: ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. These are the same questions a potential customer might ask when researching your category, from broad recommendations to direct comparisons with your competitors. We read every answer and score how often, how prominently and how accurately your brand shows up.

Kept current with live web search

AI models are trained up to a point in time, so on their own they can miss or misdescribe a brand, especially a newer one. On paid plans, LumaRank measures with the assistants' live web search turned on, so the results reflect what a real person sees today rather than a stale snapshot. That is why a brand that launched recently can still be measured accurately.

Grounded on your competitors' terms too

The same answers reveal how your competitors are represented, so you get a share-of-voice view without any extra setup. We also check where your brand shows up across the open web and compute your standing against the competitors you track.

Tracked over time

Visibility is not a one-off number. LumaRank re-runs your prompts on a schedule and plots the trend, so you can see whether a change to your site, your content or your off-site presence actually moved the needle. Between scheduled scans you can refresh any single prompt on demand to check a specific change right away.

The same measurement for everyone

We do not sell a "better" measurement to higher tiers. Plans differ by how much you can track and how often, not by the quality of the data. Everyone on a paid plan is measured the same way, with the same assistants and the same live-search accuracy.
