Getting started with LumaRank

From sign-up to your first AI-visibility + SEO audit in a few minutes: companies, projects, prompts and the dashboard.

LumaRank shows you how AI models like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini talk about your brand — and what to fix so they talk about it more, and more accurately. This guide takes you from sign-up to your first audit in a few minutes.

1. Create your account

Sign up as an Individual (one brand) or a Manager (an agency or team running several brands). You can start on the free plan and upgrade later from the pricing page.

2. Set up your company

A company is your brand: its domain, a short description, the industry, and the competitors you want to benchmark against. LumaRank uses these to generate realistic prompts and to measure share of voice. Creating a company automatically creates a base project seeded from the brand.

3. Add prompts (or let AI generate them)

Prompts are the questions we send to the AI models: things a real buyer might ask, like “what are the best tools for X?”. You can write your own or generate a starter set with one click, then refine them per project.

4. Run your first audit

Hit Run audit. LumaRank crawls your site, checks your off-site presence, queries each enabled AI provider, parses the answers, scores visibility with an LLM judge, and assembles a diagnostic with a prioritized action plan. It runs in the background, so you can leave the page and come back.

5. Read the dashboard

The dashboard splits into AI Visibility (mention rate, position, sentiment, authority, off-site presence) and SEO Audit (technical and content health across a dozen categories). Start with the action plan. It’s ordered by impact and effort.

Next: read how scoring works to understand the numbers, or add an llms.txt to improve how models read your site.
