How your results stay current
How your results stay current: why paid plans reflect the current web while the free plan uses a static snapshot.
Why freshness matters
AI assistants are trained up to a point in time. On their own, they can miss or misdescribe a brand, especially one that launched recently or changed a lot since the model was trained. If you measured with only what the model already knows, a newer brand might look invisible even when it is doing well.
How paid plans stay current
On paid plans, LumaRank measures with the assistants' live web search turned on. That means the answers reflect what a real person sees today when they ask, not a stale snapshot. A brand that is new, has rebranded, or has fresh coverage is measured accurately.
You will see results marked as up to date, and a single answer can be refreshed on demand (see Refreshing a single prompt).
The free plan
The free plan measures with the assistants' built-in knowledge only (a static snapshot), so it is a good way to try LumaRank, but a newer brand may show up as less visible than it really is. Moving to a paid plan turns on up-to-date results.
Same for every paid plan
Freshness is not something we sell more of at higher tiers. Every paid plan is measured the same way. Plans differ by how much you track and how often, not by how current or accurate the measurement is. See Plans and what each limit means.
