Re-running and comparing scans
Re-run and compare scans: re-run a scan after making changes to measure the impact of what you did over time and compare.
Why re-run
A single scan is a snapshot. The real value comes from running scans over time and watching the trend, especially after you make a change you want to measure.
A good cadence
- Monthly works for most brands: AI assistants update what they know, and your presence across the web shifts.
- Run an extra scan after a meaningful change (new content, a fixed technical issue, a positioning update) so you can see its impact.
Comparing results
- Each finished scan keeps its own dashboard, so you can open two and compare.
- History lists every run over time; filter it to just scans, keyword checks, Search Console, or see them combined.
- The Trends view plots your scores across scans, so trends are easy to read at a glance (see The Trends view (scores over time)).
- Markers on the timeline show when you changed your brand or prompt setup, giving context to any jump or dip (see Template changes).
