When an AI assistant lists options in your category, answer position is where your brand lands in that list. Being named first or second is very different from being named last: people read the top of the list first, and often stop there.

Position is one of the biggest signals behind your AI Visibility score. If you're mentioned but your average position is low, assistants know you exist yet still put competitors ahead of you when they recommend a choice.

- Publish honest "best X for Y" comparison content where you're a genuine, well-argued pick.
- Earn ratings and reviews on the sites buyers in your space trust, so a higher ranking is backed up.
- Become the default answer for a specific use case, so you're the obvious first name.
