Branded search results

What "branded search" means

When someone searches for your brand name directly, you'd expect your own site to come up first. The branded search check shows where your site actually ranks for your name, and what, if anything, outranks it.

Why it matters

• If something else sits above you for your own name (a directory, a review site, a competitor), that's an easy, high-value thing to address.
• It's a sign of how strongly your brand is associated with your domain.

What you'll see

• Your site's position for a search of your brand name.
• The results that appear above you, if any.
• The same check for each competitor, against their own name: useful context for how well-established each brand is.

This appears in the SEO Scan view, and a short note also shows in the presence summary.
