Brand facts and wrong-fact detection
Brand facts and wrong-fact detection: enter facts about your brand, and we flag AI answers that get them wrong.
What brand facts do
Brand facts are the things you want AI assistants to get right about you: your starting price, a key feature, the year you were founded, who you serve. You enter them once, and every scan checks whether the AI answers about your brand contradict them.
When an assistant states something different from a fact you set, LumaRank flags it as a wrong fact on the scan dashboard, shows what the AI said versus what's true, and, when the answer came from a live web source, links the exact page that said it, so you know where to go fix it.
How to add them
Open your Company settings (or a project's settings) and add facts under Brand facts. Each fact is a short label and its value, for example:
- Starting price -> US$49/month
- Founded -> 2019
- Free plan -> Yes, up to 3 projects
Keep them short, specific, and genuinely verifiable. Leave the section empty if you don't want fact-checking.
How to read the results
On a scan's dashboard, a Wrong facts about your brand card appears only when something was flagged. Each row shows the fact, what the AI said, what you said, and the source that stated it (or a note that the model answered from its own memory when no page was cited).
A wrong fact usually traces back to an outdated or inaccurate page the AI is reading, an old review, a stale listing, a third-party profile. Correcting that source is the fastest way to fix what the AI says about you.
