If your account is paused for review

If your account is paused for review: what a paused account means, what it affects for you, and how to appeal it.

What "paused for review" means

If you see a banner saying your account is paused for review, it's a safety measure: some activity on the account needs a look before it continues. Most people never see this, and it's often resolved quickly.

What's affected

While an account is paused, these are on hold:

  • Running scans (manual and scheduled)
  • Adding, editing, generating or regenerating prompts
  • Exploring competitors
  • Setting up new scheduled monitoring

You can still sign in and view all of your existing data: scores, trends, reports and settings are all still there.

If you're on someone else's team

Pauses apply to the whole account. If the account owner's account is paused, everyone invited to it sees the pause too. If that's you, contact the account owner: only they can appeal.

How to get it lifted

If you're the account owner, click Appeal in the banner and tell us what happened. We'll review your account and get back to you by email. A pause can also lift on its own over time.

To avoid a pause in the first place, keep your prompts genuine: see Keeping prompts genuine (acceptable use).
